THIS HOME HAS BEEN RENTED

 Everything has it's place.

Everything has it's place.

I'm not going to lie to you: this place is small. It's not for everyone, but if you love small spaces with room to entertain, work from home, and host the occasional guest, then this is the spot. It's also expertly laid out. The owner even hired a consultant to help maximize the apartment's feng shui! There is a lot to love about this small apartment that you won't get from a similarly-priced Micro Apartment. Let me count the ways...

1. It's about 150 square feet larger and is completely private - no sharing bathrooms or kitchens with your neighbors!

2. You have a full bathroom with both a tub and a pretty sweet shower head.

3. Your neighbors are grown ups. This won't feel like living in the dorms.

4. You have full-sized appliances. You can buy groceries up the street at the Farmers Market on Sunday and store and use them all week! You can prepare meals expertly in a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances.

5. You have your own private, FULL-SIZED washer and dryer! You can do laundry whenever you want. NO COINS! No joke!

 Mmmmm, Stainless Steel Appliances

Mmmmm, Stainless Steel Appliances

Everyone likes to say that their listing is in the heart of it all, but this one seriously is. The Vertigo is expertly placed right behind the Capitol Hill LibraryQFC is across the street, and the Capitol Hill Light Rail Station is a handful of blocks away. The apartment is close to Swedish and HarborviewSeattle Central and Seattle U. You can even walk to downtown, South Lake Union, and all points in between. Don't believe me? Check out the view from the roof top deck!

 Hello Seattle!

Hello Seattle!

Aside from the deck on the roof and the fantastic location, the Vertigo also has a workout room for residents only.

Ice Cube Talks About Eames

I don't know about you, but growing up in Spokane in the 90's gave me a great appreciation for gangster rap. I listened to a lot of other music too, don't get me wrong. I'm not exactly sure what the correlation is. Part if it was always feeling like you were trapped in sprawl. Part of it is most definitely the heat and the beautiful summer days. Growing up in the west, I've always had a small pull to live in Los Angles. I've been lucky enough to visit a couple times this past year, and I've visited a bunch as a kid. LA never disappoints. It's magical and overwhelming. It gets too hot and there is way too much concrete. But I love hearing people describe why they love LA so much. This is of course with the exception of Randy Newman. Check out this quick video of Ice Cube talking about why he loves LA and Charles and Ray Eames. It marries two of my favorite things Ice Cube and Mid Century Modern design, oh yeah, and LA.

RENTED | Mid-Century Masterpiece

You Missed Your Chance on This Mid Century Masterpiece

This Home has been Rented!

$2,600 per month

3 Bedrooms / 3 Bathrooms

2,780 square feet

2 Car Garage

02 Livingroom 01.jpg

This early mid-century house is stunning and it's huge! If you like to spread out, you'll have plenty of space here. You can entertain in this large formal living room warmed by a wood fireplace and radiant heat. There's also a formal dining room for extra large dinner parties. Is it too warm for a fire? Step out on the deck and enjoy the warm summer breeze. The yard is cozy, private, and boast multiple fruit trees.

Let's go back inside. Down the hall from the living and dining rooms are two bedrooms, one has its own private full bathroom. All of the closets on the main floor are cedar lined. You won't find that in new construction. You also won't find closets this huge! There's storage everywhere. Closing out the main level is the kitchen. All of the appliances are updated and clean. You'll have plenty of sunshine pouring in while you eat breakfast at the breakfast nook.

We've already seen so much house and we haven't even seen the basement yet. Downstairs you find another large bedroom and full bathroom. A laundry room, office/non-conforming bedroom, and giant rec-room fill out the basement.

Are you a motorhead? Are you looking for a place to tinker? You'll love this two car garage. That space on the floor, that is a mechanic's pit. You can change your own oil or replace the transmission on your 67 Ford Ranchero. There is plenty of space to work above ground too. You won't find it in the pictures but above the garage is another huge space for storage or more tinkering.

You'll love this home. You have to come check it out. It won't last long.

RENTED | Royal Crest Penthouse

The Royal Crest Penthouse Has RENTED

IMG_8298.JPG

2100 3rd Ave #2603

$3,995 Per Month

Two Bedrooms / 2.25 Bathrooms

2100 Square Feet

Parking, W/S/G, & Electricity Included

$250 Move-In Fee required by HOA

Your apartment search begins and ends here. This palatial penthouse condo is calling your name. 2100 square feet is plenty of space for entertaining friends. Premium carpets, cherry hardwood floors underfoot, and custom light fixtures will remind you, this isn't your typical high end rental.

You can cook world class meals in this giant kitchen filled with stainless steel appliances. Not just any appliances. These are high end Bosch and Sub-Zero units. There's even wine storage and an induction cook top. Want to kick up your culinary craft? Your new home is blocks away from Pike Place Market. If that's not enough entertainment space, you have three decks on which you can watch the sun set over the Olympic Mountains, Puget Sound, and the Downtown Cityscape.

Let's talk  bathrooms. 2.25, that's a pretty weird number. Here's the breakdown. You have a half bath in the front of the house and a 3/4 bath midway through the apartment. Lastly, you have a cavernous master bathroom that'll leave you feeling calm and rejuvenated every day. A steam shower or Jacuzzi bath will work wonders to wash away a gray Seattle day. The master bathroom has a walk in closet. All the bathrooms have radiant heated marble floors.

Keep scrolling through for gorgeous photos of the bedrooms, views, and living spaces below. The last two things I want to talk about are HOA common areas and walkability. You know what you get here that you won't find in other new construction apartments. A POOL. That's right an outdoor pool you can use any time you want. There is also a workout space and a club room, in case you don't want to entertain in your apartment. Now let's talk walkability. The other apartment buildings will bring up walkability because they don't have parking. Here, 1 covered, secure parking spot is included in the rent. And you'll need it, because you can get anywhere from this condo. I'm a big fan of walking. I like to go for 5 miles as often as I can. Do you know how far you can get if you walk 5 miles from 3rd and Lenora? Name a core Seattle neighborhood and you're there. On top of that, you don't have to ever walk uphill to get home. The Royal Crest has a 99 Walkscore. This means you'll never have to leave your neighborhood, unless you want to. Think about this: you can walk to work. Stop by the market on the way home, or maybe grab happy hour with friends. Head home, cook dinner, and then head right back out for nightlife, art openings, or performances. They are all moments away from your front door. That's a luxury greater than any other.

Give me a call or shoot me an email. I'm happy to give you a private tour of this apartment.
