As you enter the front gate of The Pittsburgh, it's clear you are somewhere special. These two small buildings make a loving home in the middle of the city. Built in 1907 and restored in the early 00's the warm classing features and modern conveniences strike a creative balance that feels just right for Seattle. Come on upstairs and check it out.

This apartment is 663 square feet it feels huge! It has such a smart layout. The main hallway takes you from the front door, past the bedroom and bathroom to a stunning living room with gas fireplace. As you turn you realize there is a full dining room with built-in cabinets and a full kitchen. One secret you may not notice right away is a built-in washer/dryer combo unit.

The generous windows give you ample light year 'round. Don't worry about it beeing too sunny. This third-floor unit positions you right at tree level. You'll have beautiful dappled light all summer long. Do you need more sunshine in your day? Seattle Center is only a couple blocks away. Spend a day at the park. You're also very close to Belltown, South Lake Union, and the rest of the city.

While the square footage of the kitchen is small, you have plenty of storage with the open counter-to-ceiling cabinets. There is a full sized stainless steel gas range and refrigerator. This kitchen has something else most Seattle apartments don't, a back door leading to a second staircase. How lovely.

I don't usually use a bathroom photo as a focal point but I love this classic beauty. The subway tile, pedestal sink, and DEEP CLAWFOOT TUB are not common in modern rentals. Your rubber duckie will thank you.

As a rental expert, I can tell you, this is still a great value. It's still an honest price, fantastic size, and impeccable location. Give me a call to set up a private tour. You'd better hurry or I might just rent this one myself.

Ice Cube Talks About Eames

I don't know about you, but growing up in Spokane in the 90's gave me a great appreciation for gangster rap. I listened to a lot of other music too, don't get me wrong. I'm not exactly sure what the correlation is. Part if it was always feeling like you were trapped in sprawl. Part of it is most definitely the heat and the beautiful summer days. Growing up in the west, I've always had a small pull to live in Los Angles. I've been lucky enough to visit a couple times this past year, and I've visited a bunch as a kid. LA never disappoints. It's magical and overwhelming. It gets too hot and there is way too much concrete. But I love hearing people describe why they love LA so much. This is of course with the exception of Randy Newman. Check out this quick video of Ice Cube talking about why he loves LA and Charles and Ray Eames. It marries two of my favorite things Ice Cube and Mid Century Modern design, oh yeah, and LA.

RENTED | Royal Crest Penthouse

The Royal Crest Penthouse Has RENTED

IMG_8298.JPG

2100 3rd Ave #2603

$3,995 Per Month

Two Bedrooms / 2.25 Bathrooms

2100 Square Feet

Parking, W/S/G, & Electricity Included

$250 Move-In Fee required by HOA

Your apartment search begins and ends here. This palatial penthouse condo is calling your name. 2100 square feet is plenty of space for entertaining friends. Premium carpets, cherry hardwood floors underfoot, and custom light fixtures will remind you, this isn't your typical high end rental.

You can cook world class meals in this giant kitchen filled with stainless steel appliances. Not just any appliances. These are high end Bosch and Sub-Zero units. There's even wine storage and an induction cook top. Want to kick up your culinary craft? Your new home is blocks away from Pike Place Market. If that's not enough entertainment space, you have three decks on which you can watch the sun set over the Olympic Mountains, Puget Sound, and the Downtown Cityscape.

Let's talk  bathrooms. 2.25, that's a pretty weird number. Here's the breakdown. You have a half bath in the front of the house and a 3/4 bath midway through the apartment. Lastly, you have a cavernous master bathroom that'll leave you feeling calm and rejuvenated every day. A steam shower or Jacuzzi bath will work wonders to wash away a gray Seattle day. The master bathroom has a walk in closet. All the bathrooms have radiant heated marble floors.

Keep scrolling through for gorgeous photos of the bedrooms, views, and living spaces below. The last two things I want to talk about are HOA common areas and walkability. You know what you get here that you won't find in other new construction apartments. A POOL. That's right an outdoor pool you can use any time you want. There is also a workout space and a club room, in case you don't want to entertain in your apartment. Now let's talk walkability. The other apartment buildings will bring up walkability because they don't have parking. Here, 1 covered, secure parking spot is included in the rent. And you'll need it, because you can get anywhere from this condo. I'm a big fan of walking. I like to go for 5 miles as often as I can. Do you know how far you can get if you walk 5 miles from 3rd and Lenora? Name a core Seattle neighborhood and you're there. On top of that, you don't have to ever walk uphill to get home. The Royal Crest has a 99 Walkscore. This means you'll never have to leave your neighborhood, unless you want to. Think about this: you can walk to work. Stop by the market on the way home, or maybe grab happy hour with friends. Head home, cook dinner, and then head right back out for nightlife, art openings, or performances. They are all moments away from your front door. That's a luxury greater than any other.

Give me a call or shoot me an email. I'm happy to give you a private tour of this apartment.
