We've survived another Turkey Day, Black Friday, College Football Rivalry Weekend, and Cyber Monday. wew! Now, on this first official Tuesday of Butter Season, we are asked to give to non-profits that we believe in.
I believe in Community Lunch on Capitol Hill. Community Lunch cooks high-quality meals for homeless and low-income people of Seattle. Their incredibly small full-time staff partners with volunteers to prepare four meals a week. During lunches, they will see 250 - 300 diners.
In 2013, Community Lunch on Capitol Hill and I teamed up for the START Capitol Hill Wall Project, Stars on Broadway. Although I cannot volunteer today (anyone want to pick a day with me?) I am proud to support monetarily.
I implore you to give to a nonprofit today if you are able. I know my teammates at Team Diva will be giving as well.
If you would like to give to Community Lunch on Capitol Hill, you can do so on their donate page.
Do you have a group that you'll be giving to? I love to hear about them.
